The Paranaque City Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) temporary suspended its operation on Tuesday (Dec. 14) from 12 noon to 11:59 p.m.
Atty. Melanie Soriano-Malaya said the temporary suspension was due to the scheduled system upgrade and maintenance.
Malaya said BPLO operations will resume on Wednesday (Dec. 15).
She said the system upgrade and maintenance will be made in preparation for the business tax amnesty program and renewal period in January 2022.
The BPLO chief said services will be made through paranaquecity.ph bploparanaque.com or [email protected].
Malaya said Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced on Dec. 4 that the City Council will pass measures to give big and small businesses in the city amnesty on all penalties and surcharges incurred due to delayed payments.
She said Olivarez made the announcement during the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Ayala Malls for the establishment of the Paranaque Public Service Center.
The Paranaque Public Service Center will be established at the 4th floor, IT Zone, of Ayala Malls Manila Bay.
Malaya said the service center will also help the BPLO in the assessment, renewal, and payment of business permit to help lessen overcrowding at the City Hall.
