How Kim Atienza reacted to 'TV Patrol' finally fielding his replacement

"TV Patrol" recently introduced the latest addition to their family, their new weatherman, ABS-CBN meteorologist Ariel Rojas.

Ariel is following in the footsteps of the late Ernie Baron and Kim Atienza, who just transferred to a rival network a few months ago.

During Gretchen Fullido's recent live featuring the first reporting of Ariel on the said television newscast, Kim immediately expressed support for the latter.

"Good choice! (raising hands emojis) all the best," he wrote.

Meanwhile, in another post, Gretchen warmly welcomed Ariel.

"Officially welcoming our new weatherman on TV Patrol PAGASA meteorologist @arielrojasph," said she. "Ariel shared that his father cried after seeing him do his first live weather forecast for TV Patrol this evening! Aww... You did great, Ariel!"

Broadcast journalists Karen Davila also shared a photo of the "TV Patrol" bosses and other reporters namely ABS-CBN Integrated News and Current Affairs chief Ging Reyes, ABS-CBN News Production Head Francis Toral, Henry Omaga Diaz, Marc Logan, Gretchen Fullido, and Bernadette Sembrano along with Ariel.

Ariel, on the other hand, expressed gratitude for the warm reception.

"Thank you, everyone, for the overwhelming support and well wishes! Sorry, di ko kayo maiisa-isa but know that I am deeply humbled and challenged to do well," his tweet read. "Ma, I hope you’re smiling up there."

Note that Ariel was a former PAGASA weather specialist.
