Members of Kontra TaMaD (Kontra Tambalang Marcos at Duterte) has called on the Commission on Elections (Comelec) to immediate resolve the petitions seeking to cancel the certificate of candidacy (COC) of presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

In a statement, the group together with CARMMA-QC, SANLAKAS and Bayan-NCR said that delay in resolving the status of Marcos’ candidacy reflects upon the Commission’s integrity and ability to conduct honest and fair elections and has the tendency of confusing voters.
The groups also asked the Commissioners to exclude Marcos’ name in the 2022 poll ballot.
Several petitions have been filed against Marcos Jr. before the poll body seeking to cancel his COC, seeking his disqualification and seeking to declare him as nuisance candidate.
The Comelec is eyeing to release the final list of candidates for the 2022 elections this month.
The printing of ballots is set in January next year.
