Makati City Mayor Abby Binay received on Tuesday a certificate of recognition from the Department of Health - Metro Manila Center for Health Development (DOH-MMCHD) for the city's outstanding COVID-19 response and achievements in battling the coronavirus.

DOH-MMCHD commended Makati after achieving 100 percent of its COVID-19 vaccination coverage of its targeted eligible population.
The agency also gave Binay a certificate of appreciation for providing assistance to neighboring cities during the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days which started on Nov. 29 to Dec. 21.
Meanwhile, the Makati Health Department (MHD) also received a certificate of appreciation from DOH-MMCHD for providing assistance to other health workers during the National COVID-19 Vaccination Days.

Four of its employees, Dr. John Christopher Gardiola, Cyrell Vernice Castillo, Irish Carissa Pancipane, and Mara Frances Mutia were also given certificates for their participation during the three-day COVID-19 vaccination drive.
According to the MHD, 975,494 vaccines have been deployed in the city as of Dec. 13. Of this number, 450,222 have received their first dose, while 412,159 have been fully vaccinated.
