The Mandaluyong City local government gave due recognition to groups and government agencies that supported its COVID-19 vaccine deployment efforts.
Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and other city officials personally handed over certificates and plaques of appreciation to representatives of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Mandaluyong, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Mandaluyong, Anthony Suva Fire and Rescue Volunteer and Communication Inc., Mandaluyong City Medical Society, Nasugbu Team, Lemery Team, Mandaluyong City Medical Chapter, and Philippine Pet Birth Control Center Foundation Inc.
Abalos commended earlier the private companies and schools that have helped the city inoculate its residents against COVID-19.
On Monday, Dec. 6, the local government unit (LGU) said that it has breached the one million COVID-19 vaccine deployment mark amid the ongoing pandemic and the threat of the Omicron variant.

As of Dec. 11, the City Health Office (CHO) said that Mandaluyong has already deployed 1,018,913 vaccines, 520,100 of which were given their first dose while 488,444 have been fully vaccinated.
