Diego Loyzaga and Barbie Imperial recently celebrated their first anniversary as lovers.

And both made sure to express their feelings towards each other through surprises.

On Facebook, Barbie broke the norm about women making an effort for their men.

She wrote: "Dapat sinusurprise din ang boyfriend (heart emoji)" along with the series of photos of cozy setup with matching DIY movie screen she prepared for her bae.

Meanwhile, the following day, Diego greeted Barbie.

"Happy anniversary mahal ko! Daaaaamn one year. Went by fast didnt it? Im grateful for you. It was this exact spot last year where we met again and things were never the same," he said along with their snaps at certain place in Pangasinan.

"Thank you, for being my motivation and being my sakit sa ulo. For keeping me balanced and anchored. For giving me a million new fun memories and showing me new things. For having my back, thru thick and thin. For making me coffee in the morning and cooking me corned beef at 2am. For loving me for who I am and accepting everything in between. I may not be perfect and still mess up along the way, but ill try my best everyday. I hope you were surprised and enjoyed the night mahal! happy anniversary"

Diego also expressed gratitude to Nice Print Photography who captured their moments, as well as, Gideon Hermosa, who transformed the beach house.
