Filipinos affected by US tornadoes urged to contact PH Embassy for assistance
Filipinos affected by the tornadoes that hit several states in the United States were told to reach out to the Philippine Embassy or the nearest consulate in their area for assistance.

In a statement dated Dec. 12, the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C. advises Filipino communities, who were affected by the tornado, "to monitor local advisories and to contact the Embassy for emergencies requiring the Embassy’s assistance."
The embassy said Filipinos in Kentucky and Tennessee may contact the embassy at (202) 368-2767 or (202) 769-8049 or send an email at [email protected].
Filipinos in Arkansas and Mississippi may contact the Philippine Consulate General in Houston at (346) 256-4522 and or through [email protected].
For those in Illinois and Missouri, the Philippine Consulate General in Chicago may be reached at (312) 583-0621 and by email, [email protected], the embassy added.
More than 80 people are believed to have been killed in the devastating tornadoes that roared through US states on Dec. 11. It was tagged by US President Joe Biden as "one of the largest" storm outbreaks in history.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has yet to confirm whether or not there are Filipinos killed in the devastating incident.
