An 11-year-old girl died while an eight-month-old baby was injured in a fire in Taguig on Dec. 13.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Taguig, the fire hit a house owned by Jaquiline Adre along J Ramos Street in Bgy. Ibayo Tipas, Taguig at noon.


BFP-Taguig withheld the name of the fatality but identified the injured as eight-month-old Xian Kyle Jabines, son of Jocelyn Adre, who suffered first and second-degree burns in upper and lower extremities. He was given first aid by the BFP-Taguig Emergency Medical Services.
Fire fighters raised the first alarm at 12:02 p.m. Two houses were totally burned and two others were partially burned.
A total of 10 families, or 41 individuals, were affected by the fire, which was put out at 12:55 p.m. Investigators estimated the amount of damage to property at P150,000.
Twenty-three fire trucks responded to the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
