PH Red Cross beefs up services in preparation for tropical depression
As part of its advocacy to be always ready and present where help is needed, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has alerted all its services, chapters, and volunteers in preparation for the tropical depression.

In a statement on Sunday, Dec. 12, PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard “Dick" Gordon reiterated the significance of the organization’s 4Ps, also known as Predict, Plan, Prepare, and Practice in times of calamity.
Gordon likewise urged the public to prepare their emergency go bags, a survival kit containing ready-to-eat food, medicine, water, and other necessities, as an aid to survival in times of emergencies and disasters.
The humanitarian organization beefed up its disaster management services through its local chapters, ensuring that all rescue vehicles, volunteers, logistics, information technology, and emergency response units are ready in times of need.
In its latest bulletin issued on Sunday, as of 11 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the weather disturbance outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has developed into a tropical depression.
Based on the latest forecast, it is expected to enter PAR on Tuesday, Dec. 14, and make landfall over Eastern Visayas-Caraga regions between Wednesday, Dec. 15, and Thursday, Dec. 16.
