Manila not neglected during listening tour says Mayor Isko; endorses VM Honey

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso asserted that Manila had not been neglected during his provincial listening tour.

During a cash aid distribution event to victims of the San Andres fire on Friday, Dec. 10, Domagoso maintained that his duties as the city mayor was not being neglected even if he's on provincial listening tour.

Domagoso also cited Vice Mayor Doctor Honey Lacuna as the force driving Manila’s success during his campaign.

“Basta tayo, dito sa Maynila walang tulugan. Tsaka maswerte ako sa vice mayor. ‘Yung vice mayor ko battle-tested, si Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna (Here in Manila we do not sleep. I’m lucky to have a battle-tested Vice Mayor like Doctor Honey Lacuna),” said Domagoso.

He then endorsed Lacuna’s mayoral bid for Manila in 2022.

“She will continue to build more housing, she will continue and build more hospitals, build more schools, then ‘yung mga ayuda ng Manileño, 'yung allowance ng mga senior citizens, mga allowance ng Persons with disabilities (PWDs), solo parents, 'yung allowance ng mga estudyante, ng K-12, at allowance ng mga nasa kolehiyo, tapos 'yung mga ayuda kapag Pasko at may kalamidad, tapos 'yun pang infrastructure development, tapos 'yung open green space (assistance for Manileños, allowance for senior citizens, allowance for PWDs, solo parents, allowance for students, K-12, and allowance for college students, assistance during christmas and during calamities, and infrastructure development and open green spaces),” listed Domagoso as some of Lacuna’s future plans.

Domagoso also said that her focus should be on ensuring food security, housing, and employment.

Lacuna filed her certificate of candidacy for Manila mayorship last Oct. 6.
