Nine senatorial aspirants from various political parties have reportedly made it to the list of candidates to be adopted by the Bongbong-Sara UniTeam for the 2022 national elections.

Three more will be chosen before presidential aspirant former Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos and his running-mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will jointly announce the adopted senatorial aspirants, a source from the UniTeam camp claimed.
The last three who will make it to the UniTeam list will reportedly be nominated by Lakas-CMD jointly headed by House Majority Leader and Leyte Rep. Ferdinand Martin Romualdez and Duterte, chairperson of both Lakas-CMD and the Hugpong ng Pagbabago.
Already guaranteed inclusion in the UniTeam senatorial team are former Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, signatory of the UniTeam Coalition Agreement as president of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino; Nacionalista bet Mark Villar and Harry Roque of the People’s Reform Party.
The UniTeam is a coalition of four political parties - the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas; Lakas-CMD, HNP and the PMP.
House Deputy Speaker Rodante Marcoleta and lawyer Larry Gadon, lone senatorial candidate of the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan, were spotted with the Bongbong-Sara rally in Quezon City and are expected to be included in the lineup, the source from the UniTeam camp disclosed.
Three Nationalist People’s Coalition senatorial aspirants who are seeking a comeback in the Senate have also been mentioned by the source. They are House Deputy Speaker and Antique Lone District Rep. Loren Legarda; incumbent Sorsogon Gov. Francis Escudero and former Sen. JV Ejercito.
The NPC is headed by Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, running mate of Partido Reporma presidential hopeful Sen. Panfilo Lacson.
Broadcast journalist and television host Raffy Tulfo was also mentioned as a shoo-in to the UniTeam senatorial lineup.
Lakas-CMD does not have a candidate for senator but is expected to submit three names for UniTeam adoption.
