PCUP conducts capability building program on gender, dev't in Zambales
In a bid to promote gender equality, the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) conducted a capability building program (CBP) on gender and development benefiting leaders of urban poor organizations.

Initiated by PCUP-Field Operations Division for Luzon (FODL), the program, "CBP: Orientation on Gender and Development" was held on Friday, Dec. 10, as an expression of support to country’s campaign to end violence against women. It was attended by about 70 urban poor leaders in Olongapo City, Zambales.
In a statement, PCUP Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Undersecretary Alvin S. Feliciano expressed the Commission’s commitment to continue implementing services and programs, particularly trainings that can raise the capacity of the urban poor, especially on gender and development.
PCUP said the CBP was successfully conducted in cooperation with the office of the Urban Basic Services program and Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. (Charie Mae F. Abarca)
