Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez distributed food packs to 52 families who were affected by fire in Malacanang Dulo, Barangay Don Bosco, Paranaque City, on Friday afternoon, Dec. 10.
Olivarez ordered the City Environment and Natural Resources (CENRO) to clean the debris left by the blaze.
The fire victims are temporarily staying at the tents set up by the barangay officials.
Olivarez personally visited the area and distributed food packs and P3,000 cash to the affected families.
During his visit, the mayor announced that the 29 original families living in Bato property in Malacanang Dulo will soon have their own permanent site.
Olivarez said a negotiation has already been made with the owner of the property, and that the city government will have a social housing project for them.
He said each family will have an 18-square meters lot for their shelter.
Meanwhile, the other families that are not original members of the Bato association will also be relocated.
