Laguna bettor bags P83.7-M Megalotto 6/45 jackpot

A solo bettor from Laguna won the P83.7-million Megalotto 6/45 jackpot prize, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Saturday, Dec. 11.

In a Facebook post, PCSO said that the winning ticket was bought in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna with the winning combination of 33-27-18-42-03-23.

PCSO said that the lone bettor won a total jackpot prize of P83,757,220.80.

The results were drawn on Friday, Dec. 10, at 9 p.m.

Based on the summary of the draws released by PCSO, there were also 53 second prize winners for Megalotto 6/45. The second prize winners will receive P32,000 each.

PCSO likewise announced a total of 2,982 bettors bagging the third prize. They will get P1,000 each.

Meanwhile, 35,812 fourth prize winners will take home P30 each.

To claim their prizes, winners need to go to PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong and present their winning tickets along with two valid identifications cards (IDs). Meanwhile, prizes above P10,000 are subjected to 20 percent tax pursuant to the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law.

Based on the Republic Act No. 1169, prizes that were not claimed by the public within one year from the date of the draw shall be considered forfeited. (Charie Mae F. Abarca)
