Filipina named Miss Interglobal 2021 after winner's resignation

Miriam Refuerzo Damoah of the Philippines is the new Miss Interglobal.

This, after the first-ever winner of the said title, Nachita Jantana of Thailand, resigned her position.

Here's the full statement:

"Nachita Jantana, who was announced Miss Interglobal reign have abruptly come to an end.

"Nachita had recently informed us, the Miss Interglobal organisation, that due to personal reasons beyond her explanation, she will not be able to carryout her duties as the Miss Interglobal 2021. Therefore, she is relinquishing her position.

"For this reason, after discussion, we as an organisation have respected her decisions and the title of Miss Interglobal 2021 will be transferred to the 1st Runner-Up, Miriam Refuerzo Damoah of the Philippines.

"We wish Nachita the best on her life journey, and also to Miriam, as she takes up the role of Miss Interglobal 2021.

"We welcome National Directors from around the globe for the 2022 edition of Miss Interglobal."

On their social media account, Miss Interglobal organization has a slogan of "Beauty on a Mission" and with the purpose of "unifying the world through beauty and tourism."

The Nigeria-based pageant held its inaugural edition last Dec. 4 (Dec. 5 in Manila) through a virtual event.
