Parañaque City LGU vaccinates 74,523 children aged 12-17 against COVID-19
The Parañaque City government vaccinated a total of 74,523 children aged 12 to 17 against COVID-19, the City Health Office (CHO) reported on Dec. 9.
The city is targeting to inoculate 80,000 residents belonging to the said age group.
Mayor Edwin Olivarez was happy with the turnout of the youths who participated in the city government’s Bakuna Para sa YO! (young ones) vaccination program.
Based on the CHO record, a total of 41,650 minors or about 52.44 percent of the target pediatric population received the first dose of the vaccine, while 25,040 or 60.12 percent were fully vaccinated.
Meanwhile, the mayor said a total of 695,747 or 133.43 percent of the target adult population were inoculated with the first shot of COVID vaccine; 604, 434 or 115.92 percent were fully vaccinated; while 13,464 or 2.22 percent received their booster shots.
