The number of active COVID-19 cases in Makati City has dropped to 18, the local government unit (LGU) announced Friday, Dec. 10.
According to the Makati Health Department (MHD), 44,146 patients in the city have already recovered while 984 died from the disease.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay urged the public not to be complacent despite the declining number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.
She also reminded her constituents to get themselves inoculated against the dreaded virus.
On Dec. 8, Binay announced that Ospital ng Makati (OsMak) and Makati Medical Center (MMC) have recorded no new COVID-19 patients after almost two years of battling the pandemic.
