Police arrested three minors and a construction worker who allegedly took away a motorcycle and other personal belongings in Barangay Sta. Ana, Pateros early Thursday morning, Dec. 9.
Pateros police chief Col. Aldrine Gran said the suspects -- Harold Castro, 18, a construction worker; and three minors aged 17, 15 and 16 -- carted away a motorcycle, a laptop and tools worth around P200,000 at Masikap Complex in Bgy. Sta. Ana.

The victim (name withheld) told the police he parked his motorcycle inside a store, but the following morning he discovered it missing along with personal belongings.
He reported the incident to the police. A follow-up operation was conducted by Pateros police in Lupang Arienda in Taytay, Rizal, where they recovered the victim’s stolen motorcycle and items.
The suspects were arrested after they were identified by an eyewitness.
The suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10883 (New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016) and robbery before the Rizal Prosecutor’s Office.
Castro is now detained at the Pateros Police custodial facility while the minors were brought to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
“We will strengthen the anti-criminality and law enforcement activities in the conduct of more visibility patrols and target hardening measures to pre-empt crime incidents in our area and arrest lawless elements to prevent them from committing further harm and danger to the community,” said Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg.
