Food delivery rider caught with shabu in Manila

A rider for a leading delivery service was arrested by operatives of the Manila Police District (MPD) after he was caught delivering illegal drugs in Sta. Cruz, Manila on Wednesday, Dec. 1.

Police identified the suspect as Eduardo Delos Santos, 48, a resident of Sta. Cruz in Manila. He works as a rider for a food delivery service company.

Investigation showed that the incident occurred at around 8 a.m. along Yuseco corner Oroquieta Streets, Brgy. 346, Sta. Cruz, Manila.

According to Police Cpl. Rudolf Niño Fajardo, the suspect was dressed in a uniform of a food delivery service during the illegal drug transaction.

Seized from him were seven sachets of shabu with an estimated market value of P20,400.

The driver also admitted he had also made an earlier delivery of shabu.

Delos Santos is facing charges of violations of Section 5 or the distribution of illegal drugs, and Section 11 of the Republic Act 9165 or the illegal possession of illegal drugs.

The operation was conducted by P. Cpl Ronnel Yambao and Pat Ricardo Razon of Blumentritt PCP of MPD Station 3.
