15,201 pass September 2021 board exam for teachers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced on Tuesday, Dec. 1 that 15,201 passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) given last September.

According to PRC, 4,883 elementary teachers out of 8,726 examinees and 10,318 secondary teachers out of 17,863 passed the LET given last Sept. 26.

Rowena Solacito Bongolto of Mindanao State University-Gen. Santos City topped the Elementary Level boards with a rating of 93.40 percent.

Meanwhile, Vincent Casona Bayawa of Cebu Normal University and Roslyn Vea Domingo Damasco of the University of the Philippines-Diliman topped the Secondary Level boards after both garnering a 93.40 percent rating.

The PRC also noted that of 4,883 elementary teachers passers, 3,908 are first-timers and 975 are repeaters.

For the secondary teachers, 9,286 passers are first-timers and 1,032 are repeaters.
