And you just have to download the app and rent a bike or e-scooter

Now, more than ever, with limited commuting options, heavy traffic, and sustainability and eco-friendly in mind, riding a bicycle to work is closely becoming one of the better options—especially for short-distance rides.

Moovr PH saw the need for this and launched their bike and e-scooter sharing service in 2020. Last November, they reminded Makati residents and workers within the area that it is possible to commute with zero-emission at affordable rates.

“With the launch of Moovr in Makati City, we can provide all Makatizens with an accessible transportation alternative that prioritizes their health and safety. I am excited to finally launch Moovr in the city this month, so everyone can experience the convenience of riding bikes and e-scooters around the city for faster and safer travel,” says founder and CEO of Moovr Anna Moncupa.

With Makati City becoming a bike-friendly central business district, it was fitting for the company to partner with AyalaLand as the two parties are working on many on-ground initiatives to promote the bike-friendly city. For one, there are more bike lanes along Ayala Avenue, even sharrows (shared bike lanes) in Legaspi and Salcedo villages. Bike ramps can also be seen in Makati City underpasses. This last quarter of the year, new bike stations are installed in Legaspi Village as the area launches Bike-and-Dine initiatives in Makati Al Fresco parklets.

Here’s how to avail of their services:
1. Download Moovr app and create an account.
2. Activate your profile, find available bikes by going to the nearest Moovr Hub. Helmets
are not required but are encouraged for personal safety.
3. Upon reaching the Moovr Hub, select your vehicle and unlock by scanning the QR code.
4. Once you’re done and have reached your destination, simply park and lock the bike or scooter in the Moovr Hub and end the ride in your app.

Take note that bicycles are rented for 24 hours maximum and e-scooters should be returned if battery is less than 15 percent. The app will also bring you to the nearest designated parking spot near your destination between rides.
