The Bulacan Provincial Health Office (PHO) reported on Thursday, Dec. 9, that out of the 3,708,784 total population in the province, 3,130,718 million were already inoculated against COVID-19 from March 8 to December 1, 2021.
The PHO said that out of the 3,130,718, 1,752,249 million or 67.5 percent of the 70 percent target population for vaccination have received their first dose, while 1,378,469 or 53 percent have been fully vaccinated.
It said at least 2.7 million Bulakenyos must be fully vaccinated in Bulacan to achieve herd immunity against COVID-19.
Gov. Daniel R. Fernando, in a Facebook post, urged those who have not been inoculated to register and get vaccinated.
He said the vaccination at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center inside the Capitol compound in the City of Malolos is ongoing as well as the mobile vaccination.
Fernando also reminded Bulakenyos to continue to follow the minimum public health standards, not to be complacent by always wearing face masks, practice frequent washing of hands, and physical distancing at all times.
