Power outages in QC areas set on Dec. 11-12

The Quezon City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) announced on Tuesday, Dec. 7, that there will be power outages in different areas of Quezon City from 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, to 4 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 12.

The QCDRRMC said the outages will be due to a Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) road widening project on Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue in barangays Socorro and San Roque in Cubao, Quezon City.

The affected areas include:

-Cubao and Project 4 (South Road from 1st Avenue to Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) South Service Road, with EDSA East by Max’s Group in Brgy. Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Cubao)

-Segment of EDSA North Service Road from Public Safety Savings and Loan Association Inc. (PSSLAI) to Liberty Avenue, with Metallite Illuminazione Mktg. in Brgy. Socorro, Cubao

-Segment of Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue from 5th Avenue to Katipunan Avenue, including the 14th, 12th, 10th, and 8th avenues; along the buildings of Air Materiel Wing Savings and Loan Association Inc. (AMWSLAI), Silver Finance Inc., CD Interiors, and AA Aluminium Supply in barangays Bayanihan, Project 4, San Roque, and Socorro in Cubao

-Segment of 13th Avenue from P. Tuazon Boulevard to Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue, with ACL Suites in Brgy. Socorro, Cubao

-Segment of Liberty Avenue from 12th to 13th Avenue in Brgy. Socorro, Cubao

-Segment of 20th Avenue from Spira Sales Corporation to Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue in Brgy. San Roque, Cubao

-Segment of Kalantiaw St.from 20th Avenue in Brgy. San Roque, Cubao to J.P.RIzal St. in Brgy. Masagana, Project 4

-Segment of J.P. Rizal St. from P.Rizal St. in Brgy. Masagana to and with P.Pelaez St., and National Association of Training Centres for Cooperatives (NATCCO) in barangays Bayanihan and Villa Maria Clara in Project 4
