The Pasay City government and SM Supermalls entered into an agreement for the establishment of Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) in the city on Monday, Dec. 6.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and SM Supermalls president Steven Tan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the use of the General Services Express (GES) located at the second floor of SM Mall of Asia where the application for occupational permit will be conducted.

Rubiano said SM MOA agreed to the use of GES for five years by the city government.

She said the one-stop shop to be established will be manned by a team from the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Treasurer’s Office, and the City Health Office (CHO).

Mitch Pardo, officer-in-charge of BPLO,said the one stop shop for the occupational permit will become operational once the application and renewal of business permit are completed by February.

Pardo said they will not be able to process the application and renewal of business permits at the GES because of limited space. However, she assured that basic health protocols will be followed to stop the spread of COVID-19.

She also said the issuance of occupational permit will only last for about 10 to 20 minutes.

Pardo added that applicants must bring the necessary documents such as police and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearances and laboratory results before the team of CHO manning the one-stop-shop can issue them a medical certificate.
