Mandaluyong City named 'Nutrition Champion'

The Mandaluyong City was named “Nutrition Champion” by the National Nutrition Council during the 2021 Gawad Parangal sa Nutrisyon on Tuesday, Dec. 7.

Mandaluyong Mayor Menchie Abalos accepted the award on behalf of the city during the event at the Heritage Hotel Manila in Pasay City.

Meanwhile, Mary Grace Tamayo and the achievements of the Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholars which she heads were also recognized during the awarding ceremony.

According to Abalos, the awards and the recognition prove that the city has been consistent in promoting proper nutrition throughout the city.

"Kaisa natin dito ang Mandaluyong City Nutrition Committee at mga Barangay Nutrition Scholars, maraming salamat sa karangalang ito (Together with Mandaluyong City Nutrition Committee and Barangay Nutrition Scholars, we thank you for this recognition),” Abalos added. (Cherrylin Caacbay)
