Man wanted for rape in Zamboanga Sibugay arrested in Quezon City

A security guard wanted for three counts of rape in Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay was arrested in Barangay Culiat, Quezon City on Monday night, Dec. 6, the Manila Police District (MPD) reported on Tuesday.

The MPD District Intelligence Division (DID) identified the suspect as Gilbert Mirallosa Baclas, 33, a resident of Diplahan town.

Baclas was nabbed on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Josefino P. Bael of Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay Regional Trial Court for three counts of rape with no bail recommended.

He was apprehended by combined operatives of the MPD, Quezon City Police District (QCPD), and Provincial Intelligence Team (PIT) in Barangay Culiat at around 8:40 p.m.

Baclas was taken to the MPD Crime Laboratory Office for processing. He is now detained at the MPD Intelligence and Operations Unit pending his return to Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.
