Precia said the child, whose name was withheld, was playing on the bed inside their house with her family, when they heard a gunfire.
Afterwhich, another sound was heard when the bullet passed through their galvanized corrugated wall.
A few moments later, the baby fell on ground and her parents saw her head bleeding.
Precia said two gunshots were exactly heard by the family.
On Dec. 7, forest ranger Nomar Ayan Berto, 46, of Barangay Caduha-an, surrendered to the police, along with his companions, who reportedly witnessed him using a .45 caliber on Sunday afternoon.
Precia said Berto, who’s reported to be a relative of the victim’s family, is detained at the police station, and is willing to execute an extrajudicial confession.
