Gadon hits Roque's claim that late President Marcos 'sinned' against Filipinos
Kilusang Bagong Lipunan senatorial aspirant Larry Gadon on Monday, Dec. 5 slammed former presidential spokesman Harry Roque for declaring that the late former President Ferdinand E. Marcos had sinned to the Filipino people.

Gadon said Roque should clarify to the public what “sins” Marcos had committed during his presidency that his son, Partido Federal ng Pilipinas presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.” cannot inherit.
“President Marcos did not commit any sin against his country. If Atty. Roque is referring to the declaration of martial law as a sin, then he is gravely mistaken,” stressed Gadon.
“I have an unsolicited advise to Roque: If he wants to get the Marcos loyalist votes, he must shed off his ‘yellow indoctrinated narratives about President Marcos,” he added.
Gadon explained that what the elder Marcos did in 1972 was to make a strong move to defend Philippines from the dangers posed by the growing communist movement then.
“Martial law declaration was a constitutional act to defend the integrity and security of the state,” he stressed.
Gadon said the declaration of martial law in 1972 was supported by Congress and its constitutionality was upheld by the Supreme Court.
“So what sins of President Marcos is Mr. Roque talking about? He committed none,” the KBL senatorial bet said.
In a statement on Monday, Roque said he did his due diligence about Bongbong but noted that there is nothing that could link him to the alleged dictatorial rule of his father.
The former Malacañang official said the former senator was not linked in the ill-gotten wealth cases against the Marcoses..
Roque is running under the People’s Reform Party but has been adopted to its senatorial slate by the Bongbong-Sara UniTeam.
