15K jobs up for grabs at DOLE anniversary 'hybrid' fairs

More than 15,000 local and overseas employment opportunities are available to jobseekers across the country during the week-long celebration of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) 88th founding anniversary.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III called on jobseekers, especially workers displaced by the pandemic to take advantage of the local and overseas jobs in DOLE’s hybrid job fairs to be participated by a total of 224 participating employers across the country.

According to DOLE, most of the vacancies are in the business process outsourcing industry, manufacturing, sales and distribution, accounting, and services sector.

A total of 12,598 local jobs mostly for customer service representatives, production workers, sewers, sales associates, salesmen, office staff, helpers, and kitchen crew will be offered by 189 employers.

Meanwhile, 2,971 overseas jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, Kuwait, and Qatar will be offered with vacancies for registered nurses, bakers, auto mechanics, household service workers, and kitchen crew.

Bello said limited face-to-face job fairs will be conducted in different regions starting Dec. 6. Here are the schedule and sites of the limited face-to-face and virtual job fairs:

• Metro Manila: DOLE Labor Governance Learning Center in Intramuros, Manila (Dec. 6) or at the JobQuestPH portal for online job seekers.

• Cordillera Administrative Region: Skyzone Area, Porta Vaga Mall, Baguio City (Dec. 8)

• Ilocos Region: Pangasinan Provincial PESO, Capitol Complex, Alviar St. East, Lingayen, Pangasinan (Dec. 8)

• Cagayan Valley Region: Malvar, Santiago City (Dec. 8)

• Central Luzon Region: Bulacan Polytechnic College, Malolos City, Bulacan (Dec. 8)

• CALABARZON: www.workbank.com (Dec. 8)

• MIMAROPA: Bulwagang Panlalawigan, Provincial Capitol Compound, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro (Dec. 13)

• Bicol Region: Ayala Mall Legazpi, Legazpi City, Albay (Dec. 8) or at DOLE Bicol Region’s online platform partner www.workbank.com.

• Western Visayas: SM Iloilo, Iloilo City (December 8)
