The De La Salle University (DLSU) lit up its century-old St. La Salle Hall to formally begin the 2021 Lasallian Christmas celebration.
The theme “Pamilyang Lasalyano, Sama-sama Ngayong Pasko” highlights the Lasallian community’s togetherness and faith in God amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic during the Christmas season.
In his message, DLSU President Dr. Bernard Oca FSC cited Lasallian community for strengthening camaraderie, volunteerism, and unity during these trying times.
“Tulad ng ating paghihintay sa pagsilang ng sanggolg na si Hesus, mapuno nawa ng pag-asa, kasiyahan, at pag-ibig ang ating mga araw (As we await the birth of baby Jesus, may our days be filled with hope, joy, and love),” Oca said.
“Ang liwanag ng bituin ay maging gabay nawa natin, lalo na sa mga pagpapasya sa tatahaking bukas (May the stars be our guide, especially in the decisions will take in the future),” he added.
Oca also urged everyone to remain hopeful for the country and the future.
