KKDAT, NYC to hold peace summit for youth leaders on Dec. 14


The Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT), in close partnership with the National Youth Commission (NYC), and other agencies organized the 2021 Regional Youth Leaders for Peace Summit.

The summit will be held on Tuesday, Dec.14 until Wednesday, Dec. 15 in Ormoc City.

“The summit aims to convene Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, Youth Leaders, and KKDAT officers to meet with the key stakeholders and national government agencies to collaboratively discuss in diplomatic dialogue, the long-term action plan “Regional Youth Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan 2022” aimed at harmonizing peace and order efforts especially on drug and insurgency, where the youth are known to be primary targets and vulnerable victims,” said NYC in an official advisory.

Along with NYC and KKDAT, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), SK, City Government of Ormoc, the Philippine National Police (PNP), and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) also collaborated for the event.
