With a display of colorful LED lights and adorned with lanterns, the training camp of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) is now open to the public as a Christmas Camp with swings for kids and adults to enjoy.

Engineer Paula Zapanta, MDRRMO chief told Manila Bulletin that the two-hectare open field that has been the training facility for Taytay’s rescue personnel, policemen, firefighters and emergency responders, has been temporarily converted into a mini playground to offer a holiday respite for families.

The MDRRMO’s rescue equipment such as jetski, boat, and rescue vehicles are displayed inside the Christmas Camp.

Mayor George Ricardo Gacula said the Christmas Camp is intended for the residents so they do not need to go far for fun and recreation.

Christmas decors and colorful lights add glitter to the camp. Food and beverages are sold near the camp. Entrance to the camp is free.
