The Muntinlupa City government vaccinated nearly 8,300 people on the second day of the “Bayanihan, Bakunahan” National COVID-19 Vaccination campaign on Nov. 30.
According to the Muntinlupa City Health Office, a total of 8,265 individuals were vaccinated on Nov. 30, consisting of 5,855 adults from A1 to A5 priority groups, the rest of adult population (ROAP), to minors aged 12 to 17 years old with and without comorbidities.
This brings to 15,552 the total number of individuals who were vaccinated in the first two days of the national vaccination campaign. Muntinlupa vaccinated 7,287 individuals on the first day on Nov. 29.
Of the 8,265 individuals, 5,514 got their first dose; 1,572 were given booster shots; and 1,179 received their second dose.
In the first two days of the campaign, 9,449 people were vaccinated with the first dose; 2,411 got their booster shots; and 3,702 received their second dose.
The national government’s three-day campaign from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 aims to vaccinate at least nine million Filipinos or three million people per day with the first dose to increase vaccination outputs to 70 percent of target populations.
By vaccine brand, 10,900 received Pfizer-BioNTech on Nov. 29 and 30; 3,481 got AstraZeneca; 166 were given Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac; and 1,004 got Moderna.
The National Vaccine Operations Center reported that 2,554,023 vaccine doses were administered in the country on the first day of the campaign on Nov. 29.
According to the National Task Force Against COVID-19, the National Capital Region administered 139,812 doses.
The CALABARZON region had the highest number of COVID-19 vaccines administered with 366,711 doses, followed by Central Luzon with 297,316 doses, Western Visayas with 192, Central Visayas with 186,834, and the Bicol Region with 165,259.
