LUCENA CITY, Quezon – The UniTeam of Presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. together with Vice-Presidential tandem and Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio received a warm reception from a number of Quezonian sectors during their visit on Wednesday, December 1 in Lucena City, Catanauan and Gumaca in Quezon.
The province’s political kingpins led by governor Danilo Suarez hosted programs in areas were the UniTeam’s caravan passed through. Among those who showed up during the caravan were Quezon 2nd District Representative David Suarez, ALONA partlylist Rep. Anna V. Suarez, Quezon 3rd District Rep. Aleta Suarez and Gumaca Mayor Webster Letargo. Also joining the Bongbong-Sara tandem were former-President Gloria M. Arroyo, House of Representative Majority Floor Leader and LAKAS-CMD chairman Martin Romualdez, Rep. Mikee Arroyo and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
“Kailangan ang una nating gawin ay ipagsama-samang muli ang bawat Pilipino, hindi nag-aaway, kundi nagtutulungan. Hindi nagsisisihan, kundi nagkakaisa para sa ating minamahal na bansa,” said Marcos.
The roads where the caravan traversed filled with Quezon natives wearing green and red shirts.
In her message at the Quezon Convention Center where she faced the officers and members of Lutiang Katipunero (LK) and Provincial Leaders Againsty Illegality (PULI), Duterte-Carpio asked the support of Quezonians as she and Marcos try to seek the nation’s top two posts in next year’s elections.
"Humihingi ako ng tulong na pumili ng Bongbong-Sara dahil ang gusto namin ipakita sa bansa ang pagkakisa dahil gusto natin ng malakas ang bansa, we cannot afford na hindi stable ang bansa sa susunod na anim na taon, yan po ang ng UniTeam ang ipakita ang pagkakaisa ng presidente at bise-presidente para sa isang malakas na Pilipinas,” said Duterte-Carpio.
After the Lucena City event Bongbong-Sara flew in by choppers to Catanauan and Gumaca.
