DOLE to inoculate 2,000 OFWs set for deployment
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is set to inoculate on Wednesday, Nov. 10, another batch of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are about to be deployed abroad.

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said the government of Brunei has donated some 2,000 doses of Astrazeneca vaccines to the Philippines to be allocated for outbound migrant workers.
"I personally thank the Brunei government for donating the vaccines for our general population, specifically our OFWs," Bello said.
"This will not only help accelerate the administration of the vaccines to thousands of Filipinos but will fast track the deployment of our OFWs abroad," he added.
The vaccination program, to be held at DOLE's Labor Governance Learning Center in Intramuros, Manila will be on a "first come, first serve" basis, but Bello noted that OFWs who will be deployed to Brunei will be prioritized.
The labor chief said that he already directed recruitment agencies in the country to register and bring the unvaccinated OFWs to the designated vaccination site to get their jabs.
The Department also sought assistance from the local health department of the City of Manila to administer the vaccination.
