COVID-19 vax from China, India jabbed on inbound travelers will be recognized in UK soon
The British Embassy in Manila announced Tuesday, Nov. 9, that the United Kingdom (UK) will soon allow foreign inbound travelers inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines such as China's Sinovac and Sinopharm, and India's Covaxin.

"Great news! From 22 Nov, the UK will recognise vaccines on the World Health Organization’s Emergency Use Listing," the British Embassy announced on a Twitter post.
"As a result, Sinovac, Sinopharm, and Covaxin will be added to our list of approved vaccines for inbound travel," it added.

According to the UK government's updated guidance on approved COVID-19 vaccines and countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination for travel to England, the foreign country is currently allowing passengers who are vaccinated with Oxford/AstraZeneca, Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, and Janssen.
Starting Nov. 22, the UK wbill accept travelers inoculated with Sinovac, Sinopharm Beijing, and Covaxin, which are under the WHO's emergency use listing (WHO-EUL).
Travelers from countries, including the Philippines, need to present their vaccine certificate issued by a national or state-level public authority.
It must show the traveler's full name, date of birth, vaccine brand and manufacturer, date of vaccination for every dose, and country or territory of vaccination and/or certificate issuer.
