Striegl makes UFC comeback in February vs Skelly

Mark Striegl is set to make his second appearance in the Octagon in February next year.

Taking it to his social media account, Striegl will lock horns with American foe Chas Skelly in a featherweight bout in UFC Fight Night on February 19 next year.

Striegl takes it a scale higher after making his UFC debut in the bantamweight, where he suffered a devastating knockout defeat against Russian Said Nurmagomedov in October last year.

The 33-year-old Baguio native fighter owns an 18-3 record with one no-contest decision.

Striegl, a former URCC featherweight champion, was also scheduled for a comeback in April this year against American Johnny Munoz but the bout was canceled due to unknown circumstances.

His UFC debut was first delayed when he contracted COVID-19 and later on underwent surgery after suffering a broken orbital bone against Nurmagomedov.

Meanwhile, Skelly last saw action in September 2019 where he scored a unanimous decision win against Jordan Griffin to improve at 18-3 record.

The 36-year-old American fighter also had a few fights canceled both in 2020 and 2021 before landing a match against Striegl.
