PH to have warm, humid weather due to easterlies -- PAGASA

The country will have generally "fair" weather conditions, except for isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, due to the prevalence of the warm easterly winds, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday morning, Nov. 8.
Weather specialist Benison Estareja said the shallow low pressure area being monitored by the PAGASA has become a weak circulation over the West Philippine Sea and no longer has an effect on any part of the country.
He added that the effect of the northeast monsoon or "amihan" has slightly weakened but is expected to re-intensify in the coming days.
Estareja said the effect of the amihan only extends up to the extreme part of northern Luzon but may further go down and bring slightly lower temperatures in northern and Central Luzon toward the middle of the week.
In the next 24 hours, the easterlies, or the warm and humid winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, will be the dominant weather system that may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms over most parts of the country.
However, the public is advised to remain alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
