Mayor Olivarez issues revised guidelines under Alert Level 2

Paranaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez issued an order allowing tricycles in the city to ferry two passengers under the new alert level system.

Olivarez came out with the revised guidelines on Saturday (Nov. 6) under Alert Level 2, allowing tricycles in the city to ferry two passengers but must continue to follow minimum public health protocols.

He said all back-to-back tricycle must limit their passengers to two while for the single tricycle, the city allows backriding. However, physical distancing between the passenger and the driver must be observed.

The mayor said all establishments are not allowed to cater to customers aged 17 years old and below from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. since curfew for this age group is still in effect.

Olivarez said businesses allowed to operate under the new alert system are cinemas, fun fairs and kid amusement industry, karaoke bars, clubs, concert halls and theaters.

He said the limited face-to-face or in-person classes for basic education still need the approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases or the Office of the President.
