GSIS urges members, pensioners to download mobile app for hassle-free transactions
The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is encouraging its members and pensioners to download its mobile app for hassle-free transactions.

During a Laging Handa briefing on Monday, Nov. 8, GSIS EVP Dionisio Edbane said through the GSIS Touch app, members and pensioners can now view their own records and information about the services offered by the agency.
"This is a homegrown system, dinevelop ito ng ating IT services group. Ito po ay isang mobile application system ng GSIS, usong-uso ngayon yung sa mga bangko, hindi na tayo nagpupunta pag magababayad tayo through our mobile phone na lang, ganun din po ang functionality nito (This is a homegrown system developed by our own IT services group. This is a mobile application system of GSIS, just like the ones offered in banks where you can pay through your mobile phones. Same functionality applies)," Edbane said.
Launched in 2020, Edbane said they further improved the system's app this year.
"Ito po ay ating lalong inenhance this year at naging interactive na ito kasi pwede na po silang mag-file ng applications sa loans (This year, we further enhanced our app, this is now interactive because they can file loan applications through the app too)," he added.
"Napakahalaga po nito dahil bago po nila ma-avail ang kanilang benepisyo at services ng GSIS, dapat po maayos yung kanilang record. So dito pa lang , kitang-kita na kung updated ang kanilang records at loans (This is very important because before they can avail their benefits and services of GSIS, their records must have no problems first. So they can see and update their records through this app)."
GSIS Touch also allows members to keep track of their premium remittances and loan payments and know the maturity of their life, retirement, dividend, refund, and Edu-Child claims, pre-need plans, and insurance policies.
Meanwhile, pensioners may also view their monthly pension releases and loan payments.
Personal appearance schedules at GSIS branches, a yearly requirement for pensioners, may also be done through GSIS Touch.
