The low pressure area (LPA) and easterly winds will be the dominant weather systems in the country, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday afternoon, Nov. 7.
PAGASA said the LPA was last spotted over the coastal waters of Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro on Sunday afternoon.
The weather disturbance still has a slim chance of intensifying into a tropical depression but may continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Masbate, Aurora, Northern Samar, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, Capiz, Antique, and northern Palawan.
PAGASA warned that moderate to heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides in these areas.
Meanwhile, as the northeast monsoon or "amihan" has slightly weakened, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have generally fair weather conditions apart from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA said the easterly winds that originate from the Pacific Ocean may bring warm and humid weather conditions across most parts of the country.
