Scattered rains may prevail over E. Visayas due to new LPA; 'fair' weather in the rest of PH

The low pressure area (LPA) west of Palawan has already left the country's area of responsibility but another LPA has formed east of Eastern Samar on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 6, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
The new LPA was estimated at 185 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar at around 3 p.m.
PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may prevail over Eastern Visayas in the next 24 hours.
It advised those in Palawan to be vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may persist in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region due to northeast monsoon or "amihan."
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA said that those in these areas should also remain alert against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
