The Mandaluyong City local government announced on Thursday that it has already breached the 900,000 mark of its total vaccine deployment as the city continues to inoculate its residents against COVID-19.
The City Health Office (CHO) said that a total of 909,444 vaccines have been administered to its residents as of Nov. 4, with 480,641 inoculated with the first dose, and 444,902 have been fully vaccinated.
The local government unit (LGU) attributed the high vaccination rate to its relentless vaccine information dissemination programs such as its "Ugnayan sa Barangay" program.
Meanwhile, the LGU also posted on its official Facebook page the schedule and venues of its pediatric vaccinations as it continues to boost the protection of its citizens against the virus and its more transmissible Delta variant.
As of Nov. 4, Mandaluyong City has already vaccinated 1,488 minors with comorbidities with their first dose of the vaccine, while 3,188 minors belonging to the rest of pediatric population (ROPP) have been inoculated.
Vaccine recipients who have comorbidities and those who are fit and healthy to receive the jab will receive Moderna and Pfizer vaccines, the only vaccines that were able to get an Emergency Use Authorizarion (EUA) from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
