The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has filed separate tax evasion charges against four corporate and four individual tax taxpayers based in Quezon City for alleged non-payment of income and value-added taxes totalling to more than P291 million.

In formal criminal complaints submitted to the Department of Justice (DOJ), the respondents were identified as Enviroking Corporation of Pinyahan, QC; Intele Builders and Development Corporation, of Congressional Ave., QC; KJ Araneta, of Cubao QC; and Triforce Security Services.
The single proprietors were named as Elma Sojise Gariando of Altriz Employment Agency, from Holy Spirit, QC; Linda Ong Balando of BSO Trading, from Batasan Hills, QC; Mary Collins Aguilos of Marshmello Enterprises, from Sto. Domingo, QC; and Rosalinda Dano Bernardo of Rodaber Enterprises, from Cubao, QC.
Quezon City Revenue Regional Director Albin Galanza said he recommended to BIR Commissioner Caesar Dulay the filing of criminal charges after the accused ignored collection notices and demand letters to settle the delinquent accounts incurred in 2014 and prior years.
He said the respondents did not even contest or appealed their cases before the Court of Tax Appeals (CTA), making the assessments final and demandable.
Key officers of the corporations like president and treasurer were also Included in the charge sheets.
