Vice President Leni Robredo may have lost a strong ally with the recent passing of former President Benigno Aquino III, but the latter’s youngest sister Kris Aquino is out to fully support her upcoming presidential campaign.

In a Facebook post, Robredo thanked the actress-TV host after her eldest son Josh surprised her during a visit in Tarlac on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
Robredo, who is vying for the presidency in the May 2022 polls, shared photos of Josh as he welcomed her to the event with pink balloons. He was also seen wearing a pink polo shirt with a matching face mask.
Pink has become the accidental campaign color of Robredo after it was spontaneously chosen by her supporters. The lady official eventually adopted it to symbolize “hope, empathy, kindness, and love".

“Had a really productive day in Tarlac today. Will post about it later. But let me just thank Josh for surprising me with a Welcome balloon when I arrived at the DIWA Center for an event,” she said.
Referring to Josh, the Vice President noted, “He is a Tarlac resident already".
In her post, the aspiring president expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Aquino for her constant support.
“Thank you also, Kris, for the 100% support. PNoy may be gone now but Josh being there really meant a lot,” she said.

Tarlac is the bailiwick of the Aquino family, whose influence extends to Robredo for being the chairperson of the Liberal Party (LP).
The late President Aquino or PNoy served as chairman of LP for six years. He was then designated as chairman emeritus in 2016 after he stepped down from Malacañang.
