The Pasay City government said its active COVID-19 cases are now down to 90 as of Nov. 3.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said bringing down the active cases to 90 was made possible due to the continued vaccination of the adult population and the strict implementation of basic health protocols.
Rubiano said the City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) recorded 21,263 recoveries or about 97.10 percent recovery rate.
She said that for the past four days, the CESU recorded zero deaths due to the city government’s support to the patients, proper treatment, and nutritious foods.
The mayor said 152 barangays were already declared free from the virus or about 75.6 percent. Only 49 barangays have remaining cases of the virus.
Rubiano said the CESU has been conducting house-to-house symptoms checks on households with reported COVID-19 cases. She said this has been a big factor in bringing down the number of COVID-19 cases in the city.
