Marrok Force stint instrumental for Miado's ONE comeback

Jeremy Miado couldn't be more grateful for his newfound family in Marrok Force.

All thanks to the Bangkok-based fighting stable, Miado's training became smooth more than ever amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Ang pinakamalaking tulong 'yong training. Focus lang po sa training. Wala pong ibang iniisip kung hindi training lang po (Training without interruption, without thinking about everything else, was the most helpful aspect that Marrok Force gave me)," said Miado after knocking out Chinese foe Miao Li Tao for the second time in their strawweight bout.

"Anytime, ready lumaban. 'Pag may laban, i-adjust lang 'yong sa schedule, dagdag lang nga mga kailangang gawin para sa gameplan (Anytime, I'm ready to right. If there's a fight, my team would just adjust my schedule and add something to the gameplan if anything comes up)."

It was the Zamboanga siblings -- Denice and Drex -- who introduced Miado to the Marrok Force, making the Filipino fighter its latest sponsored athlete.

With fighters coming from different countries, Miado's skill set has improved after being exposed to different approaches in mixed martial arts.

"'Yong mga teammates ko dito malalaki din kaya advantage sa akin. Kasi ako 'yong pinakamaliit (My teammates here are quite big so it's also my advantage when I enter the Circle. I'm also the smallest guy here, that's why)," said the 28-year-old Miado, who owns a 9-4 record.

William Aranguiz, Marrok Force's director for MMA, also drew praises for the "Jaguar" and lauded his evolved ground game showing.

Though Miado has yet to show this, the Filipino warrior is ready to test it out soon once ONE Championship calls for a match again.
