7,300 people get COVID jabs on Day 1 of Bayanihan, Bakunahan in Muntinlupa
The Muntinlupa City government has vaccinated nearly 7,300 individuals on the first day of the Bayanihan, Bakunahan national vaccination campaign on Nov. 29.
The national government’s three-day campaign from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1 aims to vaccinate at least nine million Filipinos or three million people per day with the first dose to increase vaccination outputs to 70 percent of target populations.

On Nov. 29, the city government opened major and satellite vaccination sites in different barangays.
According to the Muntinlupa City Health Office, a total of 7,287 individuals were vaccinated on Nov. 29. The total consists of 4,334 adult population and 2,953 minors aged 12 to 17 years old.
Of the 7,287 vaccinated individuals, 3,935, or 54 percent, received their first dose of the vaccine; 839, or 11.5 percent, got their booster shots; and 2,523, or 34.5 percent, were given their second dose.
By vaccine brand, 4,774 individuals were given Pfizer-BioNTech while 1,715 got AstraZeneca, 690 received Moderna, 107 had Sinovac Life Sciences’ CoronaVac, and one had Sinopharm.
At SM Center Muntinlupa, 1,422 adults and 762 minors were vaccinated while at the city-run Ospital ng Muntinlupa, 26 adults and 335 minors were given their vaccine jabs.
SM Supermalls President Steven Tan said over six million vaccine doses have been administered in SM malls to date, including 200,000 minors.
“Today, we see a brighter future well within our grasp. It is my honor to say that SM supermalls, together with our friends from the private sector, are proud partners of the ‘Bayanihan Bakunahan,’ a three-day massive vaccination drive in 66 of our malls which aims to jab nine million Filipinos nationwide,” said Tan.
