OCTA Research warns public of 'fake' pre-election survey in Pasay

Independent research group OCTA on Wednesday, Nov. 3, said it has not conducted a pre-election survey in Pasay City from Oct. 22 to 28.
"OCTA Research would like to inform the public it did not conduct any survey in Pasay City last Oct. 22-28, 2021," the results of which were published on Facebook, the group said in a statement.
"This survey, circulating in social media, is fake, and we advise the public and the media to stop sharing this material," OCTA said.
OCTA warned those who "misrepresent" the research group of possible legal action to "hold them liable for their fraudulent acts."
"We continue to urge the public and the media to confirm with us any survey or statement purportedly from OCTA Research," it added.
OCTA Research pointed out that it only releases information through its established media channels or networks and social media platforms.
"Any material publicized or shared to the public does not come from our official web page and our verified social media accounts are not confirmed by OCTA as its undertaking is fake," it said.
