Mayor Tiangco leads groundbreaking rites for new Navotas Polytechnic College
Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco on Wednesday, Nov.3, led the groundbreaking for the construction of the new Navotas Polytechnic College (NPC).
"NPC was built almost three decades ago. It is high time that we upgrade its facilities to make it more conducive for learning, improve the overall school experience of our students and teachers, and help enhance its delivery of quality education," Tiangco said.

"Our city government puts a premium on education because we believe in its power to transform lives. We want Navoteño youth to have free access to high-quality tertiary learning and be able to gain the knowledge and develop the skills and character they need to succeed in life," he added.
The new NPC will be constructed at the corner of Bangus St. and Apahap St, approximately 2.5 kilometers away from the city hall.
It will feature a four-story building with 28 classrooms, nine laboratories, a library, a gym, medical and dental clinics, a canteen, study and activity areas.
For his part, Rep. John Rey Tiangco said that they will continue to implement programs and projects that will benefit the residents of Navotas.
"Long before the enactment of the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act, NPC has already provided tuition-free learning. We offered scholarships to ease the financial burden of students and enable them to complete their schooling," he said.
